Koby Rowton
Guitarist/vocalist Koby Rowton and pianist/fiddler/vocalist Mary Phillips performed several shows together throughout the Southern Texas area before joining forces with drummer/vocalist/producer Paul Lopez in the fall of 2019 to form the Koby Rowton Band.
Rowton has easily written over 100 songs since he began playing guitar and singing at the age of 13. Over the years, the songs have centered around the tough things in life, like the loss of a loved one, getting older, anxiety, and heartbreak. But Rowton also enjoys writing about the good times – making memories with family and friends, love, and good ole storytelling.
Once described as “Gulf Coast Dirt” by the Hello Texas Podcast, K.R.B. infuses elements of rock, blues, jazz, folk, and country with influences ranging from John Mayer to Blink 182 to Emmy Lou Harris.
Their debut E.P. titled “I’m To Blame” was released in the summer of 2021 and their follow up LP will be released in the summer of 2022.
